Mandala Coloring Workshop

Coloring is an activity that a lot of people have enjoyed as a childhood activity, but new research suggests that coloring can invoke the body’s “relaxation response”.  Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, a pioneer in researching the healing benefits of coloring books, discovered that coloring helps people to feel calmer and experience lower levels of stress.

In this workshop, we will explore coloring as a means of relaxation using a mandala. Try a new way of recovering from a stressful day. We will explore a variety of coloring tools (gel pens, markers, colored pencils, crayons) so you can discover your favorite. All materials will be provided for use during the workshop.
